Collins Hill High School graduating senior Jacari Thomas has been awarded a 2025 Belli Scholarship worth up to $20,000. The Scholarship offers tuition and expense funds to Gwinnett County high school graduates with economic needs, who may not be top academic or athletic performers but have the potential to succeed in college and might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend. To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, not be in the top 10% of their class, provide two teacher recommendations, and submit a one-page essay on their financial need, career goals, education plan, and any extraordinary circumstances they have overcome.

The Belli family founded the Belli Scholarship in memory of John, Lynne, and Nicole Belli, who were killed in a car accident in 2001. As a scholarship recipient, Jacari will receive $5,000 annually to cover college expenses, such as tuition, books, and fees. This scholarship is not just a one-time award but a renewable opportunity that can support him for up to four years of documented college coursework, provided he maintains a 2.0 GPA.
