Eight GCPS seniors earn military appointments

Gwinnett grads continue to answer the call to military service. Eight Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seniors accepted appointments to three of the nation’s military service academies. A total of 489 seniors will serve their country through military service after graduation, including cadets who honed their leadership skills in Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) units available at 14 GCPS high schools.
The following GCPS seniors were offered service academy appointments:

Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology
Logan Borneman—United States Military Academy at West Point (Army)
Hortencia Kongolo—United States Air Force Academy
Mill Creek High School
Tanner Brannock— United States Air Force Academy
John Murphy— United States Air Force Academy
Norcross High School
Sean Balderas—United States Naval Academy
North Gwinnett High School
Minchan Kim—United States Military Academy at West Point (Army)
South Gwinnett High School
Jaden Holder—United States Naval Academy
