The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Foundation has received a $50,000 grant from Gas South to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education initiatives across the district. The grant will be used to support students as they design prototypes and develop solutions, which they will present at the Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair and at affiliated state and international competitions. The annual fair provides students with hands-on experiences, allowing them to showcase their innovations and engage in real-world problem-solving. The Gas South grant will also help expand the scope of these activities, offering more students access to critical resources and experiences that foster creativity and innovation.
“Gas South’s generous support will have a tremendous impact on student engagement and excellence in STEM,” says Jessica Holden, GCPS Director of Science. “This grant enables us to provide enhanced learning opportunities and resources that will inspire our students to pursue their passion for science and engineering, helping prepare them for future careers in these fields.”
The GCPS Foundation is a vital partner, securing resources to advance educational excellence and provide students with enriching experiences. Gas South's contribution aligns with its mission to support local communities and invest in the next generation of innovators.
