GCPS honors stellar Senior Student Athletes

     Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) has named the recipients of the 2024-25 Outstanding Senior Athlete Award. The 40 honorees were recognized for their leadership, sportsmanship, academic excellence, and overall impact on their learning community on and off the field.

     “We are incredibly proud to recognize these outstanding senior athletes from each of our 20 eligible high schools,” says GCPS Director of Athletics Jason Holcombe.

     To celebrate this achievement, GCPS hosted an Outstanding Senior Athletic Banquet at 12Stone Church in Duluth. One male and one female senior athlete were selected to represent their school at the event.

     “Their commitment to excellence has set a high standard for their peers and left a lasting impact on their teams and school communities. These young men and women are role models, and it was only right that we celebrate their outstanding academic accomplishments, their character, and their athletic achievements. We look forward to seeing their continued success in the future,” Holcombe adds.
