     Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Parent Mentors invite families of students receiving special education services at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school) to attend a presentation titled Self-Determination – What is it and How can I Support my Child?”  on Thursday, May 8. GCPS Instructional Coach Lisa Divers will provide families with strategies for developing self-determination skills in their children, including self-advocacy, self-awareness, goal setting, choice-making, and striving for independence at home and school to maximize their growth and potential as they transition to adulthood.        

Families may choose to attend either an in-person or virtual session.
