Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Parent Mentors invite parents of students receiving special education services at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school) to attend a presentation titled “Supporting Your Child as a Learner” on Thursday, October 17. This presentation will build upon September’s session entitled, “Understanding Your Child as a Learner.” In this session, families will be provided with tips and strategies to help support their children based on identified needs and learning profiles. GCPS Special Education Department Instructional Coaches Meredith Barna and Heather Perry will provide suggestions of how to reinforce and generalize learning outside of the classroom.
