GCPS Parent Mentors: Understanding Your Child as a Student
  • GCPS News

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Parent Mentors are hosting an informative and engaging workshop for parents of students receiving special education services in GCPS schools. This event, “Understanding Your Child as a Student” includes a review of areas commonly assessed in school evaluations such as intellectual functioning, psychological processing, adaptive behavior, and social/emotional development. The presentation will focus on how to identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses so that you understand their needs within the classroom setting, as well as how to support them at home. This workshop is highly recommended for families of students at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school).
