Forbes: AMERICA’S BEST EMPLOYERS BY STATE
  • GCPS News

Forbes recognizes Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) as a 2024 Best-In-State Employer. Forbes partnered with research firm Statista to survey more than 160,000 employees who work at companies with a minimum of 500 people. GCPS is ranked 59th out of 100 organizations in Georgia and is one of nine education organizations on the list. With more than 24,000 employees, GCPS is the largest employer in Gwinnett County.

“We are incredibly honored to be recognized by Forbes as one of the Best In-State Employers, following our recognition on the Best Employers for New Grads and Best Employers for Women lists,” Chief Human Resources Officer Cathy Hardin shares. “With that said, we don’t do the work for the accolades; our team is committed to continuous quality improvement. We are focused on ensuring that Gwinnett County Public Schools remains a place that attracts the best of the best. We are proud to be an organization where employees feel valued, empowered, and inspired to make a positive difference every day.”

In an article about the evaluation process, Forbes reported:

“To create the list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 160,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 people within the United States. Survey participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. Respondents were also asked to evaluate employers they’d worked for within the past two years and organizations they knew within their industry or through friends or family who worked there.”

This is the third time GCPS has been recognized by Forbes this year. The district also made Forbes’ Best Employer for New Grads list and Best Employer for Women list.
