GCPS students earn top spots at SkillsUSA conference
- GCPS News
Twenty-six students from four Gwinnett County public schools displayed their skills in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference. The event features more than 150 championships for students to showcase their skills in health science, law and public safety, transportation, human services, and leadership. Hosted annually, the conference exposes participating CTAE students to networking and career discovery opportunities.
“Students from South Gwinnett High School, Seckinger High School, Shiloh High School, and Maxwell High School of Technology demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism at the SkillsUSA State Competition,” says GCPS Director of Academies and CTAE Dustin Davis-Austin. “Their success reflects the depth of talent in our programs and the strong foundation provided through Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education. These results show what’s possible when students are equipped with industry-relevant experiences and opportunities to lead.”
