Six Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students have been selected as 2025-26 Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) Scholars. REACH is a Georgia Futures program that provides mentorship and academic support to 8th grade students. Upon successful completion of the program, scholars can receive up to $10,000 in scholarship funds to use toward postsecondary education at a HOPE-eligible institution in Georgia. To remain in the program, scholars must maintain good behavior and attendance, and demonstrate the potential to graduate from high school by sustaining a HOPE-calculated grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

“Having GCPS students recognized as REACH Scholars is a testament to the power of intentional support and opportunity,” says GCPS Office of Counseling, College & Career Services Director Durrant Williams. “These students represent the promise of what’s possible when we invest in both their academic and personal growth. Quality counseling and career services play a critical role in helping students chart a path forward, and programs like REACH amplify that impact by removing barriers and opening doors to higher education.”

The following students were recognized at the district’s REACH Scholarship Signing Day, hosted by the Office of Counseling, College & Career Services at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center.
