Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) invites all members of the community to come “Book it for the Bus” on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center (ISC). This Book Mobile 5K and Fun Run will raise funds to purchase new books for the Book Mobile program, putting books in students’ hands.    

Time:

• 7:00 a.m. - Packet Pick-Up and Registration
• 8:00 a.m. - 5K starts
• 9:00 a.m. - Fun Run begins

 

Cost:

• 5K Early Bird Registration - $30 on or before August 29    
• 5K - $35 through October 18
• 5K - $40 – October 19 – November 2
• Family Discount - (4+ registrants) $5.00 discount per registrant
• Fun Run - $18; increases to $20 after October 18
• Virtual Run - $35 on or before August 29
• Virtual Run - $40 after August 29
• Virtual Run - $45 after October 18

Registered participants have two options for getting the race day t-shirt:

1. Visit the packet pick-up site on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Gwinnett County Public Schools Instructional Support Center, 437 Old Peachtree Road NW, Suwanee, GA 30024
    
2. Pick up at registration table on race day, beginning at 7 a.m.

 

     In addition to the 5K, the event will feature music, door prizes, awards, and snacks. Trophies will be given to the top overall male and female winners as well as masters male and masters female overall winners. Medals will be given to the top three in male and female five-year increment age group categories from 10 and under all the way to 70 and up. The school with the most participants will win a visit from the Book Mobile. The Fun Run is not timed. Participants will receive shirts and medals!
