GCPS TV receives national award for exceptional communication and storytelling

     The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) TV team is celebrating after winning an Emmy. The award, presented by the Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, recognizes excellence in the Children/Teen – Short Form Content (up to 10 Minutes) category. The award-winning video titled 2025 CTAE Students of the Year shines a light on Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) students, showcasing the hands-on learning and real-world opportunities happening every day across GCPS.

     “Our GCPS TV team truly values creating videos featuring students and the work happening in our schools,” says Kevin Tomlinson, director of GCPS TV.  “The video highlighting CTAE students is always fun to produce each year for their recognition ceremony. It also helps to showcase the many opportunities students have in the district’s CTAE pathways. I’m so proud of the work I see our team do each day, and it’s an honor for it to be recognized by others in winning this Emmy.”

     This recognition reflects GCPS’s continued dedication to excellence in communication and student-centered storytelling.
