The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Foundation has been awarded a grant of more than $100,000 by Google.org. The funds will be used to explore the impact of AI-Ready learning experiences at Seckinger High School. Through this initiative, GCPS will partner with the Snap Inc. Center for Computer and Teacher Education at Georgia State University to research the perceptions, beliefs, and experiences of those involved in the AI-Ready model. The project will provide valuable insights into the cultural and practical components of AI education and will help share best practices with other schools.

“We are very appreciative of the investment that Google.org is making into our innovative programs,” says GCPS Director of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Sallie Holloway. “This funding will allow us to research important elements of our AI-Ready Learning pilot at the high school level so that we can continue to improve our own practices and share this model of education with other schools.”

This collaboration will elevate the AI-Ready Learning pilot and ensure that GCPS remains at the forefront of educational innovation, fostering student success in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.

The $103,600 gift is part of Google.org’s ongoing commitment to supporting innovative research in education.
