Gwinnett BOE approves new appointments at May Board Meeting

     During its regularly scheduled meeting on May 15, 2025, the Gwinnett Board of Education (BOE) approved the appointments of two new principals. Bridgett S. Brown has been named principal of Lovin Elementary School. Brown currently serves as an assistant principal at Lawrenceville Elementary School and will replace Kevin Payne. Payne is moving to Baggett Elementary School. Additionally, Felisha E. Witcher-Caldwell has been named principal at Richards Middle School. Witcher-Caldwell currently serves as an assistant principal at Richards Middle and will replace Mark McCain, who is retiring.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education – Brenau University

Master’s degree in Childhood Education – Piedmont College

 

Brown is a graduate of the 2019 Quality-Plus Leader Academy, Aspiring Leader Program, Cohort 10, and a graduate of the 2025 Quality-Plus Leader Academy, Aspiring Principal Program, Cohort 17.
