Jackson Elementary School secured 3rd place at the “McTeacher’s Night” event hosted by a local McDonald’s franchise. Hosted by McDonald’s locations around the greater, metro, and central Atlanta areas, the event helps local schools raise funds to support programs and resources at their schools. During the event, teachers work behind the counter and engage with their community. The schools that participate earn 20% of the sales made within a specific timeframe. Jackson Elementary was able to earn a total of $1,306, with an additional $750 for the school’s “outstanding participation” in the event.
“Jackson Elementary’s enthusiasm truly highlights the power of community collaboration,” says local McDonald’s Owner/Operator Donte Cleaves. “Partnerships like these are crucial in building a bright future for our students,” Cleaves continues.
The Greater Atlanta McDonald’s Operators Association includes over 50 owner/operators and operations managers, managing more than 300 restaurants across 45 counties. Through this competition, McDonald’s restaurants in the Atlanta area were able to provide more than $15,000 to local schools.
