Three Gwinnett County public schools have been awarded $150K in grant funds from the College Football Playoff Foundation, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, and the School Specialty organization. Baggett Elementary School, Magill Elementary School, and Lilburn Middle School each received $50K, which was used to transform and update the Media Centers at each respective school.
“The College Football Playoff Foundation’s generosity and partnership have made a significant impact on our schools,” says Aaron Lupuloff, Executive Director of the GCPS Foundation. “We are grateful for their support in helping us improve our learning spaces and empower our educators to better serve students.”
In addition to the grant funds, School Specialty donated an additional $8K, which was split among the three schools. The money was used to honor each school’s Teacher of the Year and principal.
“We are so grateful that these organizations recognize the importance of fostering a love for reading and discovery and the fantastic work our teachers do every day,” says Magill Elementary Principal Dr. Guerlène Merisme. “With these enhancements, our students will have access to a state-of-the-art space that encourages creativity and critical thinking. This investment in our media center is truly an investment in our children’s future, and we are thrilled about the new opportunities it will bring.”
