Faheezat A. Mojeed of Central Gwinnett High School, and Kennedy M. Vinson of Grayson High School, have been awarded the Edupoint Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Scholarship.

In 2022, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) was awarded the Partner for Life Award by Edupoint Educational Systems, the district's student information provider. As part of the award, GCPS was given $10,000 for student scholarships of $1,000 each. These scholarships were open to students pursuing an education at an accredited technical school after completing coursework in a CTAE area in GCPS. Students were evaluated based on their studies in CTAE classes, engagement in their pathway, including work-based learning, Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) participation, pathway completion, and their teacher's ratings of their Portrait of a Graduate competencies.

“We are incredibly proud of Faheezat A. Mojeed from Central Gwinnett High and Kennedy M. Vinson from Grayson High for being awarded the Edupoint CTAE Scholarship,” says GCPS Executive Director of Data Governance, Dr. Debbie Durrence. “Their dedication to their CTAE pathway coursework at Maxwell High School of Technology, active participation in work-based learning, and CTSOs has truly set them apart. These scholarships will support their continued studies at accredited technical schools.”
