Dr. Candice Richardson, 2027 GCPS Teacher of the Year 

If the saying “each one, teach one” were a person, it would be this teacher, for whom teaching is not simply the transmission of knowledge, but a deliberate act of care and conviction. A researcher herself, she creates opportunities for her students to chart successful paths in her class. Decoding genomes and discovering the natural world’s hidden treasures, students also uncover hidden worlds within themselves—worlds rich in belonging, purpose, and potential.
