Summer 2025 Construction and Renovations Underway Across GCPS
Gwinnett County Public Schools will complete a wide range of capital improvement projects this summer as part of our ongoing commitment to improving school facilities and supporting student learning environments. These projects—funded through the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST)—include HVAC upgrades, roofing replacements, classroom renovations, additions, paving, and more.
Some of the schools scheduled for work this summer include:
- Archer HS – New three-story addition, opening August 2025
- Murphy MS– Continued construction of new middle school, opening August 2026
- Harbins ES - Continued construction of 20-classroom addition, opening August 2026
- Berkmar HS Cafeteria - Renovation
- Freeman's Mill ES, Suwanee ES, Peachtree ES, Shiloh ES, Rockbridge ES – Classroom renovations
- McKendree ES, Shiloh HS, Harris ES, Grayson ES, South Gwinnett HS, Central Gwinnett HS, Shiloh MS, Couch MS, Starling ES – Paving improvements
- North Gwinnett HS, Snellville MS, Sweetwater MS, Parkview HS, Lilburn MS, Norcross ES, Bethesda ES, Simpson ES – Roof replacement
- Northbrook Center/Buice, Creekland MS, Crews MS, Collins Hill HS, Camp Creek ES – HVAC upgrades
- Brookwood HS, Dacula HS, Maxwell HS, Peachtree Ridge HS, Pinckneyville MS – CTAE Projects
- Meadowcreek HS, Dacula HS, Central Gwinnett HS – Athletics renovations
More than 25 schools and facilities will see improvements this summer to ensure our buildings are safe, modern, and ready to support world-class teaching and learning.
