Woody's Helping Hands partners with Starling Elementary School on turkey donations

It is the season of giving, and at Starling Elementary School, two former students saw a need this holiday season and filled it. Woody’s Helping Hands, a non-profit focused on offering food aid and educational support, donated 15 turkeys to Starling Elementary for its Food & Supply Drive.

Colby Wooden, a football player with the Green Bay Packers, and Caleb Wooden, a football player with the University of Arkansas Razorbacks, are both members of Woody’s Helping Hands and graduates of Archer High School.

“This Thanksgiving season, we’re proud to continue that mission by donating 15 turkeys to those in need, ensuring that families at Starling Elementary can enjoy a warm meal and a moment of gratitude,” says Woody’s Helping Hands member Nicole Wooden. “Community service and giving back are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we can make a difference — one helping hand at a time.”

Starling Elementary Principal Dr. Crystal Cooper says that this generosity truly means so much to the Starling community.

“Their generosity represents the heart of what makes Starling so special — a community that truly looks out for one another,” Dr. Cooper shares. “When families, staff, and community partners step up to give, it reminds our students that kindness, empathy, and service are powerful forces that bring people together. This spirit of giving shows that we are more than just a school — we are a family that believes in taking care of our own.”
