Gwinnett County Board of Education to Review Superintendent Search Phase 1 Findings, Leadership Profile on November 12

Gwinnett County Board of Education to Review Superintendent Search Phase 1 Findings, Leadership Profile on November 12

The Gwinnett County Board of Education will hold a Special Called Meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Instructional Support Center in Suwanee, where the Board will receive and review the Phase 1 Community Engagement Findings and the proposed Leadership Profile developed by the Alma Advisory Group.

Phase 1 of the superintendent search included broad community engagement through a survey, focus groups, and public gatherings that allowed the collection of thousands of perspectives from students, staff, families, and community members. The Leadership Profile summarizes the qualities, skills, and experiences identified as most important for the next superintendent of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS).

Following review and discussion of the findings, the Board will consider approving the Leadership Profile to guide the next phase of the national search process.

“From the start of the search, our Board committed to hearing from diverse stakeholders across the district,” said Board Chair Dr. Adrienne Simmons. “The feedback from Phase 1 provides a strong foundation for finding a leader who shares our values, supports our staff, and champions success for every student in GCPS.”

The meeting is open to the public and will also be broadcast live on GCPS TV, and community members can find ongoing updates on the superintendent search process through the district website.
