Back-to-School 2026: School nutrition in Gwinnett schools for 2026-27

     Gwinnett County Public Schools’ (GCPS) award-winning School Nutrition Program (SNP) provides tasty, nutritious meals to students at an economical price. GCPS cafeterias serve many of the brands families use at home, including Tyson, General Mills, Kellogg’s, and Land O’ Lakes, to name a few. In addition, students are served a variety of fruits and vegetables through Gwinnett’s Farm to School program, which has been in place since the 2010-11 school year.

     In all, 135 school cafeterias will offer breakfast and lunch daily. Students and parents can check out menus using an app—search for “NutriSlice” on Google Play or the App Store—or find menus online at https://gwinnett.nutrislice.com/menus-eula.

Student meal prices remain the same for this school year. Families should complete the free/reduced-price meal application as soon as possible.

Breakfast

• Title I Schools: All students eat at no charge.
• Non-Title I Schools:
  • Free and Reduced-Price students eat at no charge.
  • Full Pay students: $1.75

Lunch

• Free and Reduced-Price students eat at no charge at all schools. 
• Full Pay students:
  • Elementary: $2.50
  • Middle/High: $2.75
  • Reduced Price: $0.40

• All products are free from artificial colors and sweeteners, with ongoing verification to ensure consistency.

• Eat Real Certification

  • The Eat Real certification evaluates 10 standards that go above and beyond federal and state child nutrition program regulations.

  • This certification process shows our commitment to serving healthy, locally sourced, scratch-cooked meals that support the health and well-being of our students.
     

• National School Lunch Week Celebration (October 5th – 9th)

  • Theme: Cafeteria Circus- Where Nutrition Takes Center Stage!
     

• Taste of Café Gwinnett

  • A showcase event where GCPS staff, many of whom are parents, family members, and neighbors of our students, can sample and experience a variety of our school lunch offerings, highlighting the quality, nutrition, and appeal of our meal program.
