Berkmar High School celebrates culinary achievement with schoolwide celebration

The Berkmar High School culinary team, known as “Chimmy More,” will celebrate its cooking achievement with the student body following its performance at the 2025 GaDOE Student Chef Competition. Chimmy More competed in two phases to win its state title: the recipe competition and the cooking competition. To celebrate, on May 14, during regular lunch hours, students and staff can try Chimmy More’s award-winning dish, the Chicken Churrasco Bowl.

The bowl is made with grilled chicken seasoned with Lawry's Casero Carne Asada and fresh lemon, served over a bed of rice pilaf, and topped with Chimmy More’s signature chimichurri sauce.

“We are incredibly proud of our first-year students who have demonstrated exceptional skills this year. Their hard work and dedication have truly shone through in this award-winning dish,” says Berkmar High Principal Dr. Gabriel Zaragoza.
