GCPS’ Engagement team earns 14 NSPRA awards

    The Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Engagement Team earned 14 awards in the 2026 National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) awards program, including 10 honors for in-house video productions, and two awards for revamped segments of the GCPS website. These awards recognize the team's dedication to highlighting students’ experiences and academic progress across the school district.

     Each year, NSPRA celebrates communications professionals who showcase the impactful work happening in school public relations and public education. GCPS’ 14 awards underscore the team’s collective effort to reach Gwinnett’s students, staff, families, and community members. “It is truly an honor to be part of a team made up of so many talented and dedicated communicators. This group is passionate about what it does, and that passion shines through in the work it produces every day,” says Interim Chief Engagement Officer Bernard Watson.

“One of the things I admire most about the communication team is its selfless commitment to serving others. This is a group that does not seek praise or recognition but instead focuses on supporting teaching and learning and delivering excellence. That is why it means so much to be recognized and honored in this way. It is well deserved. I am grateful to work alongside such an exceptional group of people, and I could not be more proud of what our team has accomplished.”
