GCPS schools honored with GOSA awards

     Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) has been recognized by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) for high levels of academic performance and student growth. Nearly two dozen GCPS schools have earned 2025 GOSA Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) awards.

     The annual SSAS awards honor schools across Georgia that demonstrate excellence in achievement and/or significant progress in student outcomes. This year, GCPS schools were recognized across all award tiers—Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—reflecting strong results districtwide. Representatives from GOSA presented principals of the award-winning schools with banners and commemorative certificates reflecting the accomplishment at a ceremony at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center.

Platinum: Highest Levels of Achievement and Growth
Four GCPS schools earned Platinum honors, the highest level of recognition:

  • Ivy Creek Elementary School
  • Pharr Elementary School
  • Riverside Elementary School
  • Suwanee Elementary School
  • Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology
     

Gold Award Winners

Five GCPS schools earned Gold recognition:

  • Arcado Elementary School
  • Burnette Elementary School
  • Level Creek Elementary School
  • Puckett’s Mill Elementary School
  • Roberts Elementary School, which also achieved Platinum-level growth.
     

Silver Award Winners:

Five GCPS schools received Silver honors:

  • Craig Elementary School
  • Gwin Oaks Elementary School
  • Head Elementary School
  • Starling Elementary School
  • North Gwinnett High School (high performance).
     

Bronze Award Winners
The following seven schools earned Bronze recognition for continued academic progress:

  • Brookwood Elementary School
  • Duncan Creek Elementary School
  • Dyer Elementary School
  • Freeman’s Mill Elementary School
  • Parsons Elementary School
  • Simpson Elementary School
  • North Gwinnett Middle School


     The SSAS honors reflect the continued focus on teaching and learning taking place in GCPS classrooms, supported by dedicated educators, engaged families, and students committed to success.
