More than 20 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students won awards at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference. They competed in a series of events, focused on health professions, leadership, recognition, health science, emergency preparedness, ATC testing, and teamwork. Members, advisors, and guests participated in educational workshops and special events during the conference. HOSA will host its International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 18-21, where qualifying students will compete in the same categories against schools nationwide.
HOSA is a national organization that promotes healthcare careers and opportunities for students at various levels of education. Their overall goal is to enhance healthcare quality for everyone. HOSA aims to provide a unique approach to student development through various conferences and leadership opportunities.
