GCPS students secure top honors at FIRST Robotics State Championship

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students from Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST), Mountain View High School, Peachtree Ridge High School, and North Gwinnett High School have secured the top spots at the FIRST® Robotics State Championship. The GSMST and North Gwinnett High teams placed 1st, while the Mountain View High and Peachtree Ridge High School teams earned 2nd place. These four teams qualified to compete at the FIRST® Robotics World Championship.
“The increase in collaboration and support between the GCPS FIRST® teams has launched our programs to the top of the state,” says GCPS Director of Artificial Intelligence & Computer Science Sallie Holloway. “I'm incredibly proud of our coaches and students, not just in their success but in the community they've built.
