GCPS TV receives national recognition for excellence in storytelling
Gwinnett County Public Schools’ (GCPS) TV team has been recognized as one of the best in the nation. GCPS TV has been named the recipient of four national Telly Awards. The 46th annual competition honors excellence in video and television across all screens. This recognition celebrates the team’s outstanding storytelling and creative work, highlighting GCPS students, teachers, and district staff.
The 2025 Telly Awards, themed “Stories Take Shape,” received more than 13,000 entries from across the globe. GCPS TV earned three Silver Awards for the following campaign categories:
Additionally, the team received a Bronze People’s Telly Award for the 2025 CTAE Students of the Year feature, voted on by the public.
GCPS TV has also been named a 2025 Southeast Regional Emmy® Award Nominee, with winners to be announced in June. These accolades follow earlier honors from the National School Public Relations Association, which awarded the team three Video Awards of Excellence and two Video Awards of Merit earlier this school year.
GCPS Chief Engagement Officer Melissa Laramie says the recognition is deserved. “We are incredibly proud of our GCPS TV team for these national recognitions,” Laramie shares. “Their creative storytelling helps connect our students, families, staff, and community to the heart of what makes GCPS exceptional. This national recognition from the video industry is a reflection of their passion, professionalism, and the critical role they play in keeping our community informed and inspired.”
