GCPS welcomes hundreds of new educators at the Signature Teacher Job Fair

During February, Gwinnett County Public Schools' (GCPS) Human Resources team welcomed nearly 800 educators to its Go for the Gold Signature Teacher Job Fair. More than 70 candidates walked away with offers to join Team GCPS!

“Our Signature Teacher Job Fair is different because it’s not just a job fair but a true talent experience,” says GCPS Director of Recruitment Hollie Marcus. “At this event, we place a high focus on certified and new graduate educators. We also recognize provisional teachers who have started the certification journey. Candidates receive the opportunity to network with principals, interview with multiple schools, and leave with a job offer. Our staff goes the extra mile to ensure candidates have a welcoming experience and have multiple opportunities to land their dream job.”

This is GCPS’ largest job fair of the year and marks the start of the district's hiring season. The event is planned a year in advance, striving to improve each year and find themes that resonate with the staff and potential candidates. Marcus and her team work diligently to ensure candidates are connected with school communities in which they will thrive.

“The ideal educator for GCPS displays a deep commitment to fostering positive learning environments while maintaining high student expectations,” Marcus shares. “Our philosophy remains grounded in hiring educators who have a passion for teaching and learning for all students.”
