‘Taste of College’ comes to McClure Health Science High School
McClure Health Science High School students will have the chance to “taste” the college life this month through the “Taste of College” event experience. In partnership with four Georgia universities, the School Nutrition Program (SNP) is bringing the cuisines of Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Georgia to the plates of students starting on April 15.
“We’re excited to offer students this unique dining experience,” Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Director of School Nutrition Karen Hallford shares. “Each university has provided signature recipes from their campus menus, and we hope it brings a fun preview of college life to the McClure cafeteria.”
Taste of College Schedule:
- Georgia State University, Tuesday, April 15
- Georgia Southern University, Wednesday, April 16
- Georgia Institute of Technology, Thursday, April 17
- University of Georgia, Friday, April 18
This initiative, through SNP, is a pilot program with plans to expand the program to other GCPS high schools next school year.
