Summer Borrowing Program

Summer 2025 GCPS Van and Book Mobile Stats - 23 Librarians, 4 Drivers, 1,030 Free Books, 7,411 Patrons, 4,448 Meals, 7,000 snacks, and 8,557 checkouts

                        Summer 2025 

               More than 7,400 students spent their summer reading!

 The Pow and Explore Book Mobiles traveled to 90 locations                    on weekdays across four clusters this summer: Berkmar, Central Gwinnett,         Meadowcreek, and Norcross. The program ran for seven weeks in June     and July.
 The Quest Van operated in the Discovery Cluster, visiting 12 locations from       Tuesday through Thursday during the summer. This program operated for         seven weeks as well. 

 

Thanks to Backpack Buddies of Metro Atlanta for providing daily snacks and the GCPS School Nutrition Program for distributing meals for three weeks in June.  

Books on the Book Mobiles and Quest van are available for checkout during the summer program. The books are selected by certified personnel from the Library Media Services Department and reviewed by two school librarians at each level from the clusters served by the summer program.
