Community-Based Mentoring Program

The Power of One

The Community-Based Mentoring Program provides mentorship to boys and girls in grades 4-12. We believe one caring adult can impact a child's life and building community connections promotes a sense of belonging, one relationship at a time.

Our Vision

GCPS CBMP will become a transformational mentoring program with exemplary standards for mentoring that will prepare students to connect, contribute, compete, and lead in today’s global society.

Our Mission

Building community, connection, and belonging one relationship at a time.

Our Goals:

  • Recruit, train, and retain volunteers to serve as mentors and role models.

  • Match mentors with students to cultivate healthy individuals, relationships, and communities.

  • Expose students to multiple pathways of success through resources and enrichment opportunities.

  • Partner with families to strengthen engagement and involvement in their child’s educational and social development.

  • Procure financial support that sustains the longevity of the program.
