2026-27 Special School Registration

Gwinnett County Public Schools' (GCPS) focus on teaching and learning is building a community of prepared leaders. GCPS is committed to this effort, and we offer students the opportunity to gain unique learning experiences through our Special Schools. Registration dates and informational meetings are listed for each school, and the school’s website has further details about registration and enrollment or lottery processes.


Grayson Technical Education Program

Grayson Technical Education Program provides half-day programs that allow students to experience Career Cluster and Pathway offerings with hands-on experience in a wide range of fields. Please visit the school's website for more information.

Registration for the 2026-27 school year has not opened yet. The Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Gwinnett Online Campus

Gwinnett Online Campus (GOC) has ongoing enrollment for K-12 students. For families interested in registration for the 2026-27 school year, please visit the GOC website

There are two registration windows for students to enroll at GOC.  Registration for Fall semester opens May 1 and closes October 1.  Registration for Spring semester opens December 1 and closes March 1

Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST)

Information Nights for 8th Grade Families

Below are the dates for the three Informational Meetings that provide information to students/parents interested in attending GSMST. All meetings begin at 7:00 PM in the Cafeteria at GSMST, and the information presented will be the same at all three meetings.

  • Thursday, November 13, 2025 – Archer Cluster, Brookwood Cluster, Dacula Cluster, Grayson Cluster, Mill Creek Cluster, Mountain View Cluster, Parkview Cluster, Shiloh Cluster, South Gwinnett Cluster
  • Wednesday, December 10, 2025 – Berkmar Cluster, Central Gwinnett Cluster, Collins Hill Cluster, Discovery Cluster, Duluth Cluster, Lanier Cluster, Meadowcreek Cluster, Norcross Cluster, North Gwinnett Cluster, Peachtree Ridge Cluster, Seckinger Cluster
  • Thursday, January 8, 2026 – make-up meeting date for anyone unable to attend the first two meeting dates

Maxwell High School of Technology

Maxwell High School of Technology provides half-day programs that allow students to experience Career Cluster and Pathway offerings with hands-on experience in a wide range of fields. Please visit the school's website for more information.

Registration opens on January 10, with an Open House event scheduled for February 27, 5-7 p.m.

New Life Academy of Excellence

Please follow the steps indicated below to apply at New Life Academy of Excellence. Please note that a Parent/Guardian of the student should submit the application.

  • ⁠Online applications will be available during open enrollment (December 19, 2025 - January 30, 2026).  Applications received after the Open Enrollment period will automatically be placed on a waiting list, and you will be contacted upon space availability.
  • Re-Enrollment: November 03, 2025 - December 19, 2025
  • Public Lottery: selected GCPS Date to be announced soon
  • The application process does not guarantee enrollment.  We don't accept students on a first come, first serve basis.  
  • Acceptance is solely based on the availability of seats in our program.

School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High School

School of the Arts (SOTA) at Central Gwinnett High School is accepting applications from students with a passion for the arts. Current Gwinnett County Public Schools 8th grade students may apply for the SOTA Conservatory Program (audition/portfolio required) and for the SOTA Fellows Program (no admissions criteria).

Students who will be in grades 10-12 next school year may apply; however, the number of spots will be subject to availability and will vary by Conservatory. (Transportation for Central Gwinnett Cluster students is provided. Students from other clusters must be eligible for permissive transfer and provide their own transportation.)

Applications are now available for School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High School.
