Our mission is to provide services for our students, families, and schools that inspire high levels of learning and engagement.
Welcome to Gwinnett County Public Schools!
The International Newcomer Center (INC) supports the enrollment of students entering the United States and Gwinnett County Public Schools in grades six through twelve at one of our middle or high schools. Our staff provides consultations, advisement, academic screening, and transcript evaluation for students to ensure that they receive appropriate placements in their new schools.
Follow the steps below to read and view the videos to learn about the newcomer enrollment process at the INC. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Arrive at your scheduled appointment time.
- Bring all required documents to your appointment
- The student test will last 1-3 hours.
- If you need to reschedule call 678-985-5200.
- Not having all your documents will delay the start date.
- If you are more than 30 minutes late, your appointment will be rescheduled.
STEP 4 - AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
An INC staff member will review all documents submitted and will enroll your student in Gwinnett’s student information system. Two days later, you must call your student’s new school to schedule an appointment for registration. Do not call your new school for this registration appointment before two days have passed because your student’s test scores will not be available before that time.
Please note: Missing documents and/or inaccurate or incomplete documents will delay school registration and start date.
