Voices from the Mountain View Cluster

At Mountain View High School, the Fine Arts Program provides a vibrant home for student creativity and expression. Our talented Bears flourish under the mentorship of exceptional teachers who help them refine their craft and discover their artistic voice. Throughout the year, audiences experience the remarkable results of their dedication at concerts, performances, and art shows. The fine arts foster a community where students feel supported, inspired, and empowered to reach new heights as artists.

- Stephanie Stewart, Principal, Mountain View High School

Across the MV cluster, we see firsthand how the Fine Arts unify our schools and strengthen our community. These programs nurture creativity, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills that help our students thrive academically and socially. I am incredibly proud of the vibrant artistic experiences our teachers provide and the way they enrich the culture of our entire building.

-Angie Pacholke, Principal, Freeman’s Mill ES

Fine arts play a powerful role in shaping the culture and student experience in Gwinnett County Public Schools. They give students a meaningful outlet to express their emotions, creativity, and individuality in ways that traditional academics sometimes cannot. Whether through dance, theatre, music, or visual art, students find a safe space to explore who they are and share their perspectives with others. Beyond self-expression, fine arts programs build strong communities by bringing together like-minded students who share similar passions and goals. These programs foster teamwork, discipline, leadership, and confidence, skills that positively impact not only individual students but also the entire school. Performances, showcases, and exhibitions strengthen school spirit and connect families and the local community. Overall, fine arts enrich Gwinnett County by developing well-rounded students who are creative, collaborative, and empowered to make meaningful contributions both inside and outside the classroom.

- Mountain View High School Senior

The fine arts programs at Freeman’s Mill have been such a blessing for our family. Our daughters have grown in confidence and skill through their participation in chorus. Mrs. Karb has helped to instill in them a love of music and performing that they will carry with them long after they leave.

- Parent, Freeman’s Mill ES

The music and art programs at Woodward Mill Elementary under the leadership of Mrs. Deal and Mrs. Vaughn make our school a place where imagination thrives, and every child feels empowered to create. Through music and art, students have countless opportunities to shine.

- Brendon Morgan, Assistant Principal, Woodward Mill ES

In the Mountain View Cluster, Fine Arts unites our schools by inspiring innovation, connection, and pride. It provides students with opportunities to shine, to lead, and to grow as well-rounded learners who contribute meaningfully to our community.

- Angela Tarantino, Assistant Princpal, Twin Rivers MS

Art is where I get to be myself . It’s where I get  to explore new ideas, express what I feel, and turn creativity into something fun that shows who I am.
