Kindergarten Registration Information

Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-27 school year opens on March 16, 2026.

Welcome to Gwinnett County Public School! We are looking forward to welcoming the newest members to the kindergarten squad for the 2026-27 school year! Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year is available to children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026.

Registering early opens students to the opportunity to meet their future teacher and classmates before the first day of school. The two step process should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. If you’re not sure which school your child will attend, go to School Locator on the district website.

What Do I Need to Register My Rising Kindergartner?

Item 1 - An Active Email Address

While completing the registration process, links and information will be emailed to you. It is important that you can easily gain access to that email address to complete the registration process.

Item 2 - Required Documentation

Start getting your required documents together. 

Item 3 - Time to Complete Registration

The registration process should take between 15-20 minutes. Setting time aside now will make the first day of school so much easier!

 ​​​You should begin online registration now, even if your child’s health records are not up to date. Be sure to complete your child’s health screening and immunizations with the Health Department or your physician before school starts on August 4, 2025.
