- Beaver Ridge Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Distinguished status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
- At Beaver Ridge Elementary School, every student has the opportunity to participate in a Drama special. This initiative is designed to foster creativity, enhance communication skills, and build confidence in young learners. - Beaver Ridge Elementary School offers diverse opportunities for families to come together and celebrate different aspects of learning and culture. International Night focuses on all the different cuisines and traditions at our school. STEM Night engages the community in a night of science and technology. Literacy Night brings our families and children together to celebrate their love for reading. Celebration of the Arts displays how we engage our students in creativity and the arts.
- Beaver Ridge Elementary School celebrated students' achievements at the Fall and Spring Awards Ceremonies. Students had the opportunity to earn special honors through several programs, including Principal's Honor Roll (straight A's), Honor Roll (A's and B's), Academic Honor Awards in Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies, Specials Awards, Multilingual Learner Program Completion, GAGE Student of the Year, Peer Leader Recognition, and Student of the Month.
- Beaver Ridge Elementary School Drama Club students performed Disney’s “101 Dalmatians Kids'' musical at our first Celebration of the Arts Night. The play is designed for elementary school-aged performers. The cast and crew included students from various grade levels and was led by Director Zoe Potter, Musical Director Genevieve Simms, and Art Director José Peña.
- Beaver Ridge Elementary families participated in Curriculum Night Meetings during the Fall and Spring seasons to gain insights into PK-5 foundational literacy and mathematics skills aimed at boosting student achievement. Curriculum Night provides an opportunity for parents to meet with teachers and discuss the curriculum and strategies being used in the classroom. It also allows parents to ask questions, provide feedback, and collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment for their children.
- Beaver Ridge Elementary School has maintained its commitment to providing a kindergarten readiness program called Play 2 Learn. This program involves children and their parents collaborating with a certified readiness teacher to develop essential skills through playful activities. These skills include numbers, letters, sound recognition, motor skills, socialization, mathematics, and literacy.
- As Beaver Ridge Elementary celebrates the successful completion of its second year in the GCPS Pre-K Pilot Program, it continues to prioritize early childhood education and the holistic development of each and every child. This program aims to prepare 4-year-olds for kindergarten through age-appropriate lessons that promote early literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.
- Beaver Ridge Elementary provides academically at-risk students with opportunities for intervention through the Extended Learning Time program offered after school. The focus of this program is to offer differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
