  • Benefield hosted a variety of academic and family engagement events throughout the year, including International Night, GMAS Parent Night, Awards Nights, and Math & Literacy Night.
  • Benefield continued its “Blockbuster Readers” Reading Campaign, aimed at fostering a love for reading and improving reading stamina, volume, and variety. Students logged over 1,500,000 minutes of reading!
  • Benefield Elementary School is a recognized Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) School. Benefield was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
  • Benefield 's implementation of PBIS has produced leaders and learners who are "Respectful, Responsible, and Ready." Students demonstrating the three R's receive Benefield Bucks for positive behaviors and can redeem them at the PBIS Store and/or in their classroom. More than $7,000 was raised to support PBIS initiatives, benefiting both students and staff through programs such as the school rewards store.
  • Benefield held Lunch with Leadership monthly to celebrate Titan students who consistently demonstrated positive behavior.
  • Benefield hosted its annual Exceptionalities Picnic, welcoming both self-contained and general education classrooms to celebrate inclusion and diversity. In addition, a Thank You Breakfast was held to honor the parents of students receiving SPED services.
  • Fifteen fourth and fifth grade students were inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society in recognition of their academic excellence and leadership.
  • Over 3,500 books and magazines were distributed to students to help build their home libraries and support literacy development.
  • Four Benefield students were selected to participate in the Gwinnett County Elementary Honor Chorus.
  • To promote school readiness, Benefield hosted its annual Tiny Titans Workshop for rising kindergarteners and their families. Students experienced a day in the life of a kindergartener while parents participated in hands-on workshops designed to prepare them for the year ahead.
