- Staff and students donated generously to the United Way, exceeding previous campaign contributions by more than fifty percent.
- Our ASD department held a Button Making Fund Raiser where they raised over $250 from students as they made buttons for their mothers for Mother's Day, their teachers, and their friends.
- Fifth-grade classes had Book Buddy classes with Kindergarten classes. Throughout the entirety of the school year, the students would come to their Buddy Classrooms to read to their friends,
- We had an inaugural Peer Leader and Student Ambassador team. They guided visitors, interviewed the new principal, and presented on morning announcements.
- During the Valentine's Day Celebration, we had a father-daughter and mother-son dance. 224 families attended both events.
- For the Black History Month Celebration, our teachers and paraprofessionals collaborated with their students to develop a wax museum of historical figures. Over 80 families attended the event.
- As a school, we exceeded the 50% national average of students achieving Typical Growth on iReady and the 25% national average of achieving Stretch Growth on iReady.
- Staff members enhanced their learning through increased participation in the WIDA English Language Development (ELD) Standards Framework and EL Education program professional learning opportunities.
- Through our Gifted Evaluation of our students, we were able to grow the number of students who were able to qualify for Gifted:
- 2nd Grade: 18% Increase
- 3rd Grade: 35%Increase
- 4th Grade: 20% Increase
- Over 70 families participated in our Inaugural Donuts and Dads event
