- Fort Daniel Elementary School has been recognized by the Georgia Department of Education and the State School Superintendent as a recipient of the Georgia Masters of Mathematics Award. This honor celebrates schools that have demonstrated exceptional growth in mathematics achievement by our 5th grade students on the Georgia Milestones assessment.
- Fort Daniel Elementary was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Distinguished status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibited appropriate school conduct.
- Fort Daniel's students, staff, and community members generously supported many service projects, including United Way, American Heart Association, Care Team, and Relay For Life. Fort Daniel Elementary was recognized once again as Top 10 School in Gwinnett County with over $10,000 in donations to the Kids Heart Challenge.
- Fort Daniel Elementary had nearly 70 students participate in our Hawk Chorus Club; some went on to be selected for the Gwinnett County Honor Chorus. Our chorus students once again opened the Gwinnett Stripers Baseball Game by singing the National Anthem. They also performed Winter and Spring Musical Concerts to packed audiences of parents, community, and family members.
- Fort Daniel offers a range of enrichment activities and clubs, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Art Club, Robotics Club, Garden Club, Chorus and Beta Club. Beta Club students participated in Great Days of Service and other service projects. Our school also has Peer Leaders, including our Fifth-Grade students who served our younger students and coordinated various service projects including Community Donation Drives.
- Fort Daniel Elementary students participated in our local school Science Fair Competition, and winners went on to compete in the GCPS Regional Science, Engineering, and Innovation Fair. Students from Fort Daniel went on to win the Overall Science Fair as well as Category Winner recognition.
- Fort Daniel Elementary has a robust PTA with a goal of 100% Participation for families and staff. This year, the PTA donated funds to increase resources for STEM, Media Center initiatives and PBIS incentives for students. They sponsored numerous community events, including Family Bingo Night, Breakfast with Santa, and Spring Carnival.
- Fort Daniel Elementary Readers Rally Team once again won their Division Competition and went on to compete in the District Competition. Readers Rally is a quiz bowl-styled competition for our fourth and fifth-grade students. Students read books from a predetermined list and answered questions about those books.
- At Fort Daniel Elementary, we pride ourselves on cultivating a warm, inclusive school culture where students are known, valued, and supported. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to provide rigorous academics, while also prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of every child. We are deeply committed to family engagement, offering frequent opportunities for parents to partner with us through events, communication, and volunteering.
