- Gwin Oaks Elementary School proudly received the Governor's 2025 Silver Award for Highest Achieving Schools in the state of Georgia!
- One of our fifth-grade students won the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition for Gwinnett and is proudly representing our district at the state level.
- The Gwin Oaks Chorus proudly performed at both the Georgia Swarm hockey game and the Gwinnett Stripers baseball game, showcasing their incredible talent on two exciting, high-profile stages.
- The Gwin Oaks student broadcast team had an exciting opportunity to visit WSB-TV, where they learned all about television production from industry experts.
- Gwin Oaks Elementary School is proud of our Junior Beta Club students, who continued to make a positive impact through meaningful service projects this year. One highlight was a pajama drive sponsored by Jambos, during which students collected new pajamas for children in foster care. These initiatives reflect our students' commitment to making a positive difference in the community.
- One of our amazing counselors won Georgia School Counselor Association Writer of the Year for her published article.
- Gwin Oaks students continue to represent our school with pride at GCPS Tapestry and the Brookwood Cluster Art Fair. Their participation highlights their creativity, talent, and the strong commitment to the arts within our school community.
- Our two robotics teams, the Cool Digger Bots and the Geo Bots, competed in the regional competition and ranked in the top 12 for robot runs. The Cool Digger Bots also earned the Core Values Award and advanced to the Super Regionals, where they placed among the top 14 teams in robot runs.
- Two Gwin Oaks students were recognized as winners at the 2026 Gwinnett County Public Schools Regional Science Fair. Their achievement highlights their dedication, curiosity, and excellence in scientific inquiry.
- Our cafeteria team earned a perfect score of 100% on their annual cafeteria and kitchen inspection, reflecting their commitment to excellence, safety, and high standards.
