- Harbins hosted an Archer Cluster School Council meeting, which provided all schools in the Archer Cluster an opportunity to connect with parents, business partners, and community leaders who are involved and support the Archer Cluster.
- Jenny Ethridge, Harbins’ Teacher of the Year, was selected as one of the top 25 semifinalists for Gwinnett County Public School’s Teacher of the Year 2025.
- Our Readers Rally Team, composed of 4th—and 5th-grade students, finished in a tie for first place at the annual competition for all Gwinnett County elementary schools. Our media specialist, Ms. Haney, supports the team.
- The Eclipse Over Harbins event was featured on WSB-TV Channel 2 and included food trucks, a DJ, and Eclipse-themed snacks provided by our PTA for every student. Students engaged in learning activities throughout the day leading up to the event, which the GCPS Science Department provided.
- Harbins’ 4th-grade students performed in a Veteran's Day Program that recognized and celebrated veterans in our community and beyond. Our music teachers, Ms. Myles and Ms. Powell, organized the performance.
- Harbins hosted multiple community engagement events, including Camp Harbins—Math/Literacy Night, STEM Night, Lunch on the Lawn, the 2nd-grade Musical "Arf," and a Spring Orff/Chorus Performance.
- Our Play 2 Learn program supports early learning by engaging families with children from birth to 5 years old in learning activities for 90 minutes a week. Our program offered two learning sessions a week that were attended by over 40 little learners throughout the school year.
- Harbins' All Pro Dads group met monthly on Friday mornings for breakfast and activities throughout the 23-24 school year. Nearly 100 dads registered and actively participated in events all year long. The culminating event occurred at Coolray Field with a Gwinnett Stripers game, where our group enjoyed food, fun, and baseball.
- Our Celebration of Cultures/International Night showcased the cultures represented in our Harbins community. During this vibrant event, students, families, and staff celebrate their wonderfully diverse community by participating in and viewing a talent show, sampling foods from around the world, and wearing traditional cultural attire. Harbins also used the event to unveil a display of flags representing all of the nations of our school's families.
- Harbins allowed students in 1st-5th grade to attend a Saturday Intervention Program, with six sessions in the Fall and six in the Spring. Students received intervention in math and reading to support their continued progress toward mastery of their grade level standards.
