- The Hopkins Elementary 4th-5th Grade Pandabots Robotics Team won the Robot Design Award and Regional Championship Award at the Georgia FLL Regional Competition.
- Hopkins Elementary School was recognized for the second consecutive year by the Georgia Department of Education with Distinguished status for implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
- Hopkins Elementary partnered with Subaru of Gwinnett and received $3,000 for teacher supplies, support with family events, equipment for the robotics team, a sensory room, and teacher appreciation recognition.
- Hopkins Elementary partnered with Horace Mann to promote attendance through tablet giveaways and teacher recognition.
- Hopkins Elementary hosted community events, including the Family Fall Festival at Plaza Las Americas, Harvest Night, STEAM Day/Night, and Multicultural Day.
- Hopkins Elementary hosted the Cafe con la Familia event, during which the GCPS Superintendent, Dr. Calvin J. Watts, connected with the Berkmar Cluster and surrounding community families on essential topics.
- The Hopkins Elementary K - 3rd Grade Pandabots Robotics Team won the Core Values and Gracious Professionalism Awards at the GCPS Robotics Festival.
- The Hopkins Beta Club led the school's conservation initiative by collecting cafeteria scraps for the compost bin and recycling weekly from classrooms.
- The Hopkins Elementary Fine Arts Club showcased Annie, Jr. as this year's performance. Students could participate in dancing, singing, and acting, which involved around one hundred students.
- The Hopkins Soccer Club hosted a tournament for students in grades 3rd through 5th with the support of local volunteers. The students demonstrated their skills in friendly competition with around eighty other students.
- Hopkins Elementary started this year to gear up for the dual language immersion program, beginning in the fall of 2024. We will have 88 slots available for students who can enroll in the Spanish-English immersion program.
