- Ivy Creek was one of six elementary schools in Gwinnett County recognized by the Governor’s Office for literacy achievement by receiving Georgia’s Literacy Leaders award. This prestigious competition has engaged Georgia students for over two decades and is open to any student currently enrolled in Georgia public schools, grades K-12. The competition is sponsored by the Georgia Language Arts Supervisors (GLAS) and the Georgia RESA Network with support from the Georgia Department of Education.
- Ivy Creek is a growing community! To support families and students new to Ivy Creek, monthly “Welcome Wednesdays” were offered. During this time, parents new to Ivy Creek had a chance to learn about parent resources, ask questions, and socialize with other new families. Interpreters are on site to answer questions as well. Students receive their tour facilitated by Student Ambassadors to welcome them to their new school.
- This spring, Ivy Creek hosted our first Multicultural Night. The event was a huge success! Over 40 countries and cultures were represented! The night was filled with native food, cultural artifacts, and performances by students, community members, and staff.
- The annual Holiday Feast at Ivy Creek was once again a tremendous success! Held each November, the feast is a time when families can join their children for a special holiday meal in a festive environment. This year, over 1700 adult meals were served in addition to our student meals!
- We are part of the AI theme Seckinger Cluster. We offer Dual Language Immersion for students.
