  • There was a schoolwide focus on differentiated small-group instruction, critical problem-solving, differentiated instruction, and active engagement to meet every student's needs.
  • The Knight Student Council received a school empowerment grant of $8,700 from Walton EMC to support its playground equity project! The Playground Equity Projects is a Knight community collaborative effort led by the Student Council to provide equity in two play spaces: the playground and the blacktop/field.
  • Knight Elementary's fourth-grade students engage in online science and social studies content through the Gwinnett Online Campus partnership. The classrooms also have furniture and technology to support this learning environment.
  • Knight Elementary continued to use Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) to create and maintain a positive school climate. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for those students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
  • Knight Elementary continued to partner with student leader volunteers from the Parkview High School Hispanic Organization Promoting Education (HOPE) club at various family events to assist with interpretation services.
  • Knight Elementary started an All-Pro Dad Chapter to provide a monthly opportunity for dads to spend quality time with their children before school and to strengthen their relationship.
  • Future Knight students attend Play 2 Learn each week. Play 2 Learn is a program for young children, ages birth to 5, where families and children learn together through engaging lessons and play.
  • Knight Elementary hosted the annual “Knight in the Garden” event, celebrating the unique outdoor learning environment, the arts, and literacy.
  • Knight Elementary’s business partnerships continued with Chick-fil-A and Publix Patrons.
  • Students, teachers, and parents supported the Knight Elementary PTA Booster fundraiser, United Way, Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful, and canned food drives.
