- Lawrenceville Elementary School was proud to be recognized by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement as a Literacy Leader School. This distinction highlights LES’s strong commitment to early literacy and its success in ensuring that students are reading on grade level. Through intentional instruction, targeted support, and a focused schoolwide effort, LES continues to prioritize literacy as a foundation for student achievement. This recognition reflects the dedication of teachers, staff, students, and families who work together to foster a culture of reading and learning.
- Lawrenceville Elementary School demonstrated significant academic growth by increasing its College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) score by 21 points. This substantial gain reflects the school’s commitment to continuous improvement, high quality instruction, and targeted support for all students. The growth highlights the collective efforts of teachers, staff, and students in strengthening academic achievement and maintaining a focus on excellence across all areas.
- Lawrenceville Elementary School earned all green flags on the College and Career Ready Performance Index, demonstrating strong performance across all measured areas. This achievement reflects the school’s consistent focus on high quality instruction, student growth, and academic excellence. Earning all green indicators highlights LES’s success in meeting and exceeding state expectations while ensuring that every student is supported and progressing. This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and collective efforts of the entire school community.
- Lawrenceville Elementary has a thriving fine arts department that showcases exceptionally talented students. This year, LES students performed Cinderella Jr. to two sold out audiences at the School of the Arts. Students auditioned for acting, singing, and dancing roles, resulting in a performance worthy of a professional stage. This production continues a strong tradition at LES, following previous performances of The Lion King Jr. and Moana Jr.
- Lawrenceville Elementary received the Silver Governor’s SHAPE Award and continues to promote healthy living by participating in the Strong for Life campaign and the Kids Heart Challenge.
- Lawrenceville Elementary provided a wide range of extracurricular programs, including Art Club, Kindness Squad, Physical Education Club, Chorus, Dance Club, 3D Printing Club, Storybook STEAM, Friendship and Bracelet Making Club, Healthy Knights Club, Garden Club, Safety Patrol, Black Knights News Crew, Play Doh Club, Robotics Club, LES Conquerors, and Girls Wearing Pearls.
- Lawrenceville Elementary hosted successful family and community events, including PTA sponsored activities such as Fall Festival, Bingo Night, Sweetheart Dance, Family Game Night, Movie Night, and multiple Skate Nights. Additional school sponsored and supported events included Trunk or Read, Fine Arts Night at the School of the Arts, International Night, Fall Candlelight Luncheon, Awards Days, the LVfirst Community Easter Festival, and various parent engagement workshops.
- Lawrenceville Elementary continues to be recognized as a Reaching Higher Green and Healthy School through the Environmental Achievement Awards sponsored by Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful. The school garden continues to flourish under the care of staff, students, and community members.
- Lawrenceville Elementary welcomed Miss Atlanta 2026, Jordan Kulah, who promoted a love of reading and learning. Through her platform, Lead the Read, she supported literacy development and encouraged students to read beyond minimum requirements to develop a lifelong love of reading.
- Lawrenceville Elementary is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports school. This framework promotes positive behavior by recognizing and reinforcing students who demonstrate appropriate conduct.
- Lawrenceville Elementary continued to be one of eight GCPS schools offering Early Learning Pre K and will remain a site serving Pre K students in the 2026-2027 school year. The school also sustained its Play to Learn program, supporting children from birth through age five.
