Leaders in STEM Education: Lovin Elementary School has achieved Georgia State STEM Certification. We also established Lovin's first STEAM COUNCIL, consisting of students, staff, parents, and community members, to foster student innovation and creativity.

PBIS Distinguished Recognition: Lovin Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with "Distinguished" status for exemplary implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), promoting a positive school culture.

National Beta School of Distinction: Lovin Elementary School was awarded this award for significant membership growth, highlighting academic achievement, character development, and leadership among students.

Environmental Stewardship: Through our Compost Connector program, Lovin Elementary School students prevented 5,482 pounds of fruit and vegetable waste from going into the landfill from Lovin's cafeteria. We also donated half of our food waste to Creative Enterprises, a nonprofit that teaches adults with special needs life skills such as gardening, cooking, and composting! The other half of our food waste was turned into compost at Lovin in our STEAM Garden.

CS100 ALL IN Award: Honored for 100% participation in Computer Science standards, emphasizing comprehensive STEM education. All students at Lovin Elementary School can take a Computer Science special. In these classes, they learn the building blocks of how computers work, laying the foundation for further coursework that they can take in middle school.

Community Engagement and Impact: Lovin Elementary School achieved the top spot in Gwinnett County's clothing collection through Charity Recycling Service, collecting 8,010 pounds and earning $801.00 for the school.

Global Engagement in Sustainability: Lovin Elementary School hosted Cafeterias as Classrooms event sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund, showcasing leadership in food waste reduction and environmental education. Over 30 people from schools in the District of Columbia, Tennessee, Maryland, and Montana, as well as organizations such as the Environmental Protection Agency and World Wildlife Fund, visited Lovin to showcase environmental initiatives that students can undertake in elementary school that support their curriculum learning.

Play-Based Learning: the Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Public Broadcast System featured Lovin Elementary School in two videos. These videos were made for teachers and parents in the State of Georgia to focus on the benefits of play-based learning.
