Minor Elementary was recognized again as a Clean Air School and was recognized as a Reaching Higher Green & Healthy School in the Environmental Achievement Awards sponsored by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful.

Minor promotes and rewards positive behavior and expectations through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and earned the Operational status from the state.

Minor's Career Fair introduced students to career associated activities with guests representing many of our career sectors including law enforcement, medicine, civic leadership, trucking and many more.

Minor’s Parent Center instituted two Play to Learn programs and one Little Learners Academy to teach parents learning activities can do at home with younger children to help prepare them for kindergarten.

Minor sponsored a variety of clubs including Chorus, Art design, P.E., Readers Rally, Girls on the Run, ASL, Yoga, Coding and First Lego League.

Minor students in grades 3–5 participated in an Extended Learning Time program.

Four 5th graders won the district 7 Stock Market Game competition.

One 3rd grade class won the “Out of this World Classroom” award from Imagine Learning for having an average of over 240 minutes utilizing the reading program.

Multiple authors came to teach about the writing process and share stories with our students including local author and story teller Carmen Agra Deedy.
