- Patrick Elementary was featured on CBS Morning News as part of a Back-to-School Special. The feature focused on artificial intelligence and future-focused work, which is the central focus of the Seckinger Cluster schools.
- Patrick Elementary hosted its 17th Annual Firefighter’s Breakfast. Firefighters and dignitaries from the county and GCPS gathered to honor Bobby and Mary Patrick's legacy and leadership.
- Patrick Elementary continued offering robotic club opportunities for all grades K-5. This included enrichment club experiences during the school day, emphasizing equity of access to club experiences.
- Patrick Elementary hosted a career fair for all students in grades PreK—5th. Students were exposed to a variety of career options, with an emphasis on Careers on Wheels in the younger grades. In collaboration with community and parent partners, upper-grade students were provided opportunities to interview and question guest speakers.
- Students at Patrick Elementary participated in an Hour of Coding. With the help of volunteers from Accenture, each student had an opportunity to engage in coding activities aligned with relevant topics particular to their grade level.
- Patrick Elementary students and families participated in a Color Run fundraiser. This activity, sponsored by the PTA, helped raise over $30,000 to purchase phase one of a playground renovation. This renovation began with the installation of shade structures and benches, with additional enhancements to be added.
- With the help of local businesses and community members, kindergarten students participated in a week of Kindergarten Community. This interactive experience helps students better understand the role of workers in the community and understand supply and demand.
- All students at Patrick Elementary participated in Youth Art Month and Music in Our Schools Month. During an evening event, the music department showcased the talents of our Patrick Players through their adaptation of Treasure Island. Additionally, every student in the school had artwork on display for the community to view and enjoy.
- The Georgia Department of Education recognized Patrick Elementary as Operational for implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
- Patrick Elementary hosted students and professors from Manchester University in Indiana. These future teachers and their instructors had the opportunity to learn about future-ready skills in education through classroom visits and panel discussions with teachers.
