- Patrick Elementary hosted its 19th Annual Firefighter’s Breakfast. Firefighters and dignitaries from the county and GCPS gathered to honor the legacy and leadership of Bobby and Mary Patrick.
- Patrick Elementary supported First LEGO League Robotics Teams for Discover, Explore and Challenge levels in grades K-5. Patrick also hosts STEM Scouts in collaboration with Scouting America. These experiences included enrichment club opportunities offered during the school day with an emphasis on equity of access to club experiences for all students in grades 3-5.
- The Patrick Elementary Readers Rally team (Reading Spots) were the Division Winners at this year’s annual county wide Readers Rally event.
- Patrick Elementary hosted a club called Kids for Kids. These students participated in the CHOA Cape Day event, created toiletry kits for families who need to stay overnight at the hospital, and sponsored a toy drive to benefit children spending the holidays at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
- Patrick Elementary students and families participated in a Color Run fundraiser. This activity, sponsored by the PTA, helped raise over $20,000 to support school beautification and enhancements. Additionally, the funds supported classroom materials for teachers.
- Kindergarten students, with the help of local businesses and community members, participated in a week of Kindergarten Community. This interactive experience helped students better understand the role of workers in the community and understand supply and demand.
- All students at Patrick Elementary participated in Youth Art Month and Music in Our Schools Month. During an evening event, the music department showcased the talents of our Patrick Chorus and our Patrick Dance Team. The music and theater arts department put on a collaborative performance of Shrek The Musical. Additionally, every student in the school had artwork on display for the community to view and enjoy.
- Patrick participated in a cluster-wide AI/Science Fair night hosted by Seckinger HS. Students and parents spent an evening with other cluster families experiencing the future-ready work of the cluster and had an opportunity to view the regional science fair projects from students throughout the cluster.
- Patrick hosted its 3rd Annual International Night in October. This event included activities from a variety of countries lead by grade level teams. In addition, families were invited to set up booths and share their family’s history, food, and culture.
- The Patrick Chorus was invited to sing the National Anthem at a Gwinnett Gladiators Game. This provided our students in the chorus a night of fun and allowed them to proudly sing in our nation’s honor.
