The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement recognized Puckett’s Mill for both High Academic Growth in Student Achievement and High Academic Achievement at the Gold Level under Georgia’s Single Statewide Accountability System—an exceptional honor reflecting the dedication of our students and staff.

Our students excelled in STEM, with PMES participating in the Gwinnett Science Fair at the Infinite Energy Center, where one team earned 1st place at the county level.

We proudly celebrated Katie Lessard, Gwinnett County’s 2026 Teacher of the Year, who was also named a Top 10 Finalist for the 2027 Georgia Teacher of the Year—an incredible accomplishment demonstrating her impact on students and the profession.

Our AC Math class participated in the Stock Market Game team where they achieved distinction as Congressional District Winners, showcasing strong financial literacy and analytical thinking skills.

The Play 2 Learn Program continued to support our youngest learners (birth to age 5), engaging two classes in hands-on learning experiences, including participation in the GCPS School Science Fair, where they completed student-led experiments.

Our Readers Rally team demonstrated exceptional literacy skills by earning the title of GCPS Division 6 Champions.

The PMES First LEGO League (FLL) Challenge Robotics Team, The Sparkbots, had an extraordinary season, earning Regional Tournament Grand Champions, Super Regional Tournament Grand Champions, and 3rd place at the State Tournament.

Through the generosity of our PTA and community, PMES welcomed a new Star Lab, allowing students to explore the universe through an immersive inflatable planetarium experience.

Our school community came together to raise $6,102.10 for cancer research through Relay for Life.

The music program thrived this year, presenting two musicals and celebrating student achievement with 5 State Elementary Honor Chorus participants and 4 District 13 Elementary Honor Chorus participants.

Student Council played a vital role in building student leadership, with members attending the GCPS Peer Leadership Conference, participating in Statewide Days of Service, serving as morning greeters, and leading a schoolwide spirit week.
