  • Puckett's Mill successfully implemented the EL Curriculum for Language Arts. Through the module lessons, students engaged in themes such as Weather, Birds, Pollinators, Frogs, American Revolution, and Human Rights.
  • PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) was fully implemented with the development of expectation matrices, a token system, and quarterly celebrations.
  • Students at Puckett's Mill continue to collaborate through Project Based Learning (PBL). Students work together to design, develop, and construct hands-on solutions to problems.

  • This year, the Puckett's Mill Play to Learn program (birth to age 4) served 39 students. Through guided activities, children worked on fine motor skills, math, literacy, social skills, collaboration, school routines, and rules.
  • Our robotics team, The Sparkbots, attended the Super Regional Tournament and won Grand Champion. They won 3rd place for Core Values at the State Tournament. The Readers Rally Competition Team also won second runner-up in the annual competition.
  • Students engaged in clubs such as Jr. Beta, Robotics Club, Readers Rally Club, Chess, Safety Patrol, Student Council, Art Club, Spanish Lunch Bunch, and Yearbook Club.
  • Puckett's Mill welcomed authors:  Laura Coy (What Chase Sees In Space), Stan Tucker (Stan the Man), and Maria Sharrett (Wonderfully Super).
  • Students participated in STEM specials where they learned coding skills using Ozobots, Makey Makeys, Spheros, BricQ Kits, and Beebots.
  • The exceptional PTA at Puckett’s Mill supported the school with the following community events: Grandparents' Lunch, Fall Festival, Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Date Night, Bingo Night, Spring Art Show, Musicals, Coffee and Kleenex for New Parents, Lunch with a Loved One, Dad's On Duty—High Five Fridays and Guest Speaker Breakfast, and two successful Book Fairs.
